Very interesting tit bit from 'Don't Worry Be Happy" by Greg Biddell.
Besides us all being more loving, compassionate and understanding in our family relationships and putting the other person first to help lessen stress, there is the question of nutrition
'According to early child development studies, babies are disadvantaged and are at risk in more ways than one, through mothers who experience high levels of stress and anxiety during their time of pregnancy. Intense anxiety is associated with problems such as premature birth and miscarriage, along with low birth weight and respiratory illness in newborn babies.
There are also links between excessive stress in mothers and physical defects in their children, such as cleft palates and pyloric stenosis, which is the tightening of the infant's stomach outlet.....
Stress and anxiety will automatically produce corresponding stimulant hormones that are released into the bloodstream. These hormones equip the body for impending action (flight or fight), by sending large amounts of blood into the areas of the body that are involved in defensive response, such as the brain and heart, as well as the muscles of the arms, legs and torso. Consequently the normal flow of blood to other organs, including the uterus, is greatly reduced, depriving the foetus of the full supply of oxygen and nutrients which are necessary for a baby's normal development.'
Mannatech's Inc scientists fully realise the great gap in the food we consume and nutrition. Doctors now know it is essential for us all to take supplements. However they must be natural. Glyconutrients produced by Mannatech Inc. are all proprietary and scientifically validated glyconutritional supplements and products for adults and children that address health and wellness issues, weight management and skin care.
